Maison Valette MesdemoiZelles (Pouilly-Vinzelles) 2015
'(from 70-year-old vines; aged for 30 months in older barrels): the soils here are VERY 'Calcaire' and the vines over eighty years old. Aromatically this is profound and tightly wound with ripe apple, pear and a zesty lime, the fragrance is such that it invites repeated inspection. This has both density and levity in the mouth but with the Valette signature freshness and lively acidity that makes the wine vibrate the senses. A serious wine that needs time and if drunk young some air - it will gain further complexity and interest with time in the cellar. This recalls Ganevat's 2015 Chardonnay Chalasses VV'
