Bass Phillip Rosé 2018
'Small portion in barrel, gently pressed fruit, picked for rose. Quite incredible that after the fanciness and higher price points of Bass Phillip’s range, here lies this gem of a bargain of a cheapy of a great quality rose wine.
Pale orange-pink colour, almost lurid. Scents of white strawberries, fairy floss, blanched almonds, floral things. Juicy in the palate, very fresh feeling, light red berry flavours, lick of granite-like mineral character and a cool, slightly amaro-tinged finish. Very easy to drink, is the message, but a little more going on than expected.'
