Bodega Chacra, Barda Pinot Noir 2018
We all know Malbec is King in Argentina, but did you know they make amazing Pinot Noir down in Rio-Negro? The most southerly wine region in Argentina that is part of Patagonia, is cool climate and perfect for growing Pinot Noir. We honestly believe no one makes better Pinot Noir in Argentina than Chacra Barda. The latest vintage (2018) has the elegance, finesse, and secondary flavours that you attribute to Burgundy while having the fruit and delectable characteristics that you love about new world Pinot Noir. The wine possesses depth and complexity while being so delicious. You’ll have to force yourself to slow down, in order to pause and savour it. Will be rewarded with a bit of cellaring.
Pinot Noir which is grown on twenty-year vines in the Rio Negro region of Patagonia. Farming is organic and biodynamic.
A brambly array of bright, ripe dark fruit with a lithe and juicy feel that carries a bold, deliciously fresh array of dark-cherry and blueberry flavours long on the finish. Zingy and energetic.
