Domaine Bornard Trousseau Le Garde Corps 2019
'Garde-Corps, as its cuvée name suggests, is the trousseau which Tony Bornard makes as a “vin de garde”- i.e. it is made for aging. From almost 40 year old vines grown in a lieu dit in Arbois-Pupillin called ‘La Bidode’ the wine is now labelled as a Vin de France. Destemmed grapes are macerated for one month in tank then pressed and aged in barrels for approximately one year. The wine is then racked and allowed to settle in tank. Finally, it has also spent several resting years in bottle prior to its release this year. Tony suggests it has potential to age for up to 10 years. 13.8% ABV.'
