Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils, Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2019
”Here the slightly riper nose reflects exotic fruit aromas that include notes of mango, passion fruit and white peach that are trimmed in notes of petrol, quinine and shellfish. There is even better density to the sappy dry extract-rich big-bodied flavors that flash good power if perhaps a bit less minerality on the wonderfully textured, long and well-balanced finale. This isn’t quite as structured as the regular cuvée and should be approachable after only 4 to 5 years of cellaring. (91-94)/2029+” Burghound.com, December 2020
”The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru Clos des Hospices comes from 45- to 60-year-old vines that yielded 40hl this year, and is matured in a mixture of 1- to 4-year-old barrels. It has a gorgeous bouquet of honeysuckle, yellow flowers, crushed stone and light quince aromas. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and crisp, with touches of almond and dried honey toward the persistent finish. Superb.’ (93-95) points, Neal Martin, Vinous Media, September 2020.
