Freeman Vineyards, Secco Rondinella Corvina 2014
'I’ve pretty much never met a Freeman Secco that I haven’t liked but this 2014 release is particularly good.
It feels quite developed and pruney, particularly aromatically, but the palate is alive with complex fresh-and-developed fruit and the finish is both firm and full of running. Indeed the wine gathers and holds but then sets off again, with spice, leather and earth-like characters given free rein. If you’ve not experienced the world of Freeman Secco, this would be an excellent release to start with. It’s ready to drink now.'
