Grace Wine Gris de Koshu 2015

Koshu, Japan's indigenous vitis vinifera white grape variety, has been growing in Japan for over 1,000 years.

Clear and in perfect condition, with pale but bright lemon yellow colour and hints of green. Medium viscosity. On the nose, ample aromas redolent of green apple and fresh notes of lime, followed by crispy scents of acacia flower and lemongrass, accented with white pepper and clove spiciness. The overall tone is refreshing, as is a wine in its youth, full of fruitiness. On the palate, the attack is mellow. The wine is dry with a subtle impression of tender sweetness from the fruit. Lively acidity shows very well the cool weather of the year. The palate then opens into tones similar to the nose, and finished off with the characteristic astringency of Koshu, and a hint of bitterness suggesting depth. A balanced, fresh and fruity wine which is a pleasure to drink and enjoy.
