La Violetta 'Up!' Shiraz 2016

'All the -up suffix Aboriginal place names of WA get a shout out here, per se. Or that is the gist. Syrah by way of the meathooks and tender mind of AJ Hoadley Esq.

So perfumed and pretty to sniff on, floral, red berry fruited, white pepper, green fresh herbs. Succulent texture, spice-laden, dripping with sweet and peppery stuff, red berries, cranberry acidity and amaro-like tang shot through. It’s a lovely, fine, structured red of bright flavours and fine, excellent tannin profile. Elegant, but also a rustic, rugged charm that makes you take note. Not all polish, a cool wild streak. Like, like'.
