Little Reddie 100% Malmsbury Pinot Noir 2020

'The final release of this wine A very delicate and pretty expression of this northern Macedon pinot. 100% whole bunch, as always.

Much lighter in colour than the last release yet piles of fruit. Piles.  So Australian, the sun is beaming in this glass poached strawberry, kola nut, pine needle, oak tree leaves decomposing and fresh strawberry gum.  The palate has a lovely dichotomy of freshness and energy on one hand, and ripe fruit with a powerful, savoury finish on the other. It reminds me of native variety Jura reds in its high energy, lightweight, and richness of fruit. Tastes like Malmsbury of course.

Flavours are bright, tart, salty and sweet. Strawberry jam, fresh mulberries, blue cheese, brown toast, lots of herbaceous greens, sliced fennel and fennel tops too. There is grip but its loose knit and gentle.

Drinks very well over several days.'
