Michael Hall Wines Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills 2014

'Grown at the Bonython vineyard in Piccadilly at 500m elevation and at Manyara in Balhannah. Sparse fruit set in November ensured low yields and was followed by a warm summer. Rain in mid February brought cool weather and gradual ripening. Hand-picked on 7 and 9 March, wild ferment, 10% whole bunch, 15% long maceration (72 days), 11 months in French barrels (27% new), no fining or filtration. Aromas of rose and rosemary, ripe cranberry and plum.'
