Peter Wetzer Somlo Furmint 2016


Furmint is the grape variety used to make Tokaji - the Hungarian dessert wine. This is a dry table wine made from that same grape. Peter Wetzer makes his wines in Sopron, Hungary. Flavours of white nectarines, lemon zest, apples, pineapple, sea spray, chalky notes, lemon grass and asian spice, with zippy acidity and a mouth cleansing bite to it. Fantastic with Southeast Asian, shellfish, and fatty pork dishes.
