Sorrenberg Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot 2018
This is to like. A softer and more succulent expression of this wine has emerged from 2018 harvest. It feels very bright, licked at by blood orange acidity, though there’s layers of flavour in dark cherry, black plum, cola and fennel-green herb characters through and through. Extension of flavour is great too – lingering smudges of lightly grippy, skinsy, mineral flecked tannin are a charm. It feels so darn lovely to drink, though it feels best approached in a few years to a few decades. A great wine, again.'
