Standish Wine Co. The Schubert Theorem Shiraz 2015
This definitely has one of the most difficult wine labels to read but could also be one of the best Shiraz coming out of the Barossa Valley. The grapes are sourced from 6 parcels from the sub region of Maranaga in the Barossa. The wine sees very little oak and really lets the terroir sing. Floral notes, blueberry, raspberry, char grilled meats, blackcurrant, light dried herbs, licorice, graphite, big tannins and balanced acidity. This is structured and elegant, yet powerful and full-bodied with phenomenal length. Worthy of cellaring for 20+ years. Great example of what a Barossa Shiraz can be!
