Wickhams Road Gippsland Pinot Noir 2019
Second label from Hoddles Creek Estate
'Gippsland is a very big place, not that I’ve ever been there, though in terms of a GI, I understand it’s pretty diverse. Anyway, Franco D’Anna notes that is from ‘our own vineyard in Gippsland’.
Cherry, spiced biscuits, floral perfume allied with cranberry freshness, fine grained powdery tannin, a bit of sap and dried herb, a succulence and smoothness, but very fine and full of Pinot charm, not least for a wine at this price point. So lovely. Gippsland is a knock out in 2019.'
