Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss Lun a Boire Rouge Pinot Noir 2021
An umami explosion of a red wine. Expressive aromas of cranberry, blueberry, rhubarb, hay, and slight earthiness. On the palate, very juicy red fruit, there are hints of shiitake mushrooms, spice, earthiness and balanced acidity. Perfect pairing especially with Japanese food Maceration of whole bunches for a week followed by aging in foudres for one year. Unfiltered wine, no added sulphites.
Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss (Alsace, FRA)
Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss produces biodynamic wines in Alsace and in the Rhone Valley. The winery has been certified since 1989. Today, Kreydenweiss farms a little less than 30 acres of vineyards in Alsace, which includes portions of 3 Grand Cru vineyards: Kastelberg, Moenchberg, and Weibelsberg. Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc vines dominate the plantings, but Kreydenweiss has other varieties planted, such as Pinot Noir.
