Domaine Mosse Vin de France Moussamoussettes 2023
'The Domaine Mosse pet nat Moussamoussettes is definitely a cult wine! Every year it keeps getting better and we are more than excited about this year’s offering.
We love this wine. It is pink, delicious, limpid, quite dry with the characteristic slight bitterness coming from the Pineau d’Aunis and the perfect aperitif for a spring or summer lunch or end-of-evening aperitif.
This year the grapes are 60% Grolleau Gris, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Pineau d’Aunis. They were picked from vines that grow in clay soils sitting on schist, planted at a density of 6000 vines per hectare.
The Cabernet Franc and Pineau d’Aunis were direct pressed then fermented in underground tanks and stainless steel tanks and the Grolleau Gris was macerated for 5 days before being added to the others. The bottling took place in October 2023. The wine tastes completely dry as a result of being bottled with only 10 grams of residual sugar which fermented out in the bottle to create the bubbles. 10.5% ABV.
The result is a perfect example of a pet nat that we look forward to drinking at any time.'
