Champagne Gatinois Grand Cru Brut Tradition NV

$105.00

Grand Cru grower Champagne. The Gatinois vineyards are characterised by their great age and their parcels of vines. The highest quality locations in the Aÿ Grand Cru are part of the family vineyards on the imposing Aÿ hillside.

Pinot Noir is the lord of these vineyards. It thrives on the Aÿ terroir resulting in champagnes that express their own unique character. Meticulous care and attention are taken in the vineyards, involving predominantly manual work to guarantee the highest quality grapes. Here, the vineyards are tended to as if they were a garden, using sustainable and responsible practices. Vine by vine, throughout summer and winter, Louis Cheval works to preserve the style, quality and unique character of the domaine’s champagnes whilst protecting the terroir and environment.

A confident, eye-catching Champagne with a deep golden colour and subtle copper shine. On the nose, it’s fresh and clean with juicy pear and a hint of white blossom, delicate floral notes that lift the wine without overpowering, before revealing the richer, Pinot-driven character.  On the palate, it’s lively and silky-smooth thanks to fine bubbles and gentle, rounded acidity. Flavours of ripe white peach, green apple, and a touch of citrus are wrapped in a creamy, generous texture, with a whisper of toasty brioche on the finish. Balanced, approachable, and seriously moreish.  80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Disgorged 07/2025.
