Domaine Mosse Vin de France Bangarang Nouveau 2023

'We have just tried the newly arrived Bangarang Nouveau from the Mosse family and they have, once again, created a stunning light red wine that is light, low alcohol and easy to drink.

The soil in which the vines grew is clay on schist. The grapes (Pineau d’Aunis and Chenin Blanc this year) were picked by hand into small crates so that the grapes were not damaged and then were directly-pressed to extract the juice.

The juice was transferred to a tank where it fermented and matured. The wine was bottled in October 2023 ready for early drinking. The alcohol level for this wine is a very low 9.5% ABV.

The Mosses’ translated description is “Candy pink colour, aromas of fresh red fruits, crunchy peach and white pepper. It was a rainy, humid and damp harvest, therefore high yields because the grapes were saturated with water. The low alcohol content makes for great drinkability.”'
