This is a micro vineyard (just 0.1 ha) high in the hills, on a pure blue slate of Villé. The Reisling and Pinot Gris vines are co-planted as was previously traditional in Alsace. Co-harvested, pressed and co-fermented until dry, then aged in very large fourdres for 18 months. Blue slate rips down the palate, the wine has hints of stone fruit and floral notes, and fistfuls of stoney minerality.
