Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss, Wiebelsberg Riesling Grand Cru 2017

A beautifully balanced and finely structured wine, showing a ripe, generous nose that reflects the warmth of the vintage. The palate is voluminous yet lifted, with bright acidity and a subtle saline tension that brings the wine into focus. There’s an underlying freshness and precision, thanks to its origins on pink sandstone soils, giving the wine both finesse and a long, mineral finish. Will age wonderfully, fantastic with seafood, Thai food, or Chinese food. As good as Alsace Grand Cru Riesling gets.

Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss (Alsace, FRA)

Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss produces biodynamic wines in Alsace and in the Rhone Valley. The winery has been certified since 1989. Today, Kreydenweiss farms a little less than 30 acres of vineyards in Alsace, which includes portions of 3 Grand Cru vineyards: Kastelberg, Moenchberg, and Weibelsberg. Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc vines dominate the plantings, but Kreydenweiss has other varieties planted, such as Pinot Noir.
