Very old vines towards the top of the hill, facing directly south, on a tiny patch of blue diorite. An electric shock of fruit slick down the centre of the palate and a long resonating church bell of a finish.
Classic Côte de Brouilly showing off Gamay’s bright, pure side. Juicy red fruits — think raspberry, wild strawberry, and a little sour cherry — backed by a touch of spice, florals, and that lovely mineral streak from the volcanic soils of Brouilly. It’s super vibrant, fresh, and silky, with fine tannins and great energy. Very drinkable now, but will reward a bit of time in bottle too.
