Tyrrell's Vat 9 Hunter Shiraz 2007
Wine style
The retailer's 2007 listing describes lifted spice, dark berry fruit and a subtle oak influence. The palate is medium in body, with concentrated flavour and an even balance of fruit, acidity and tannin.
Vineyard
Vat 9 draws on the oldest and best Shiraz blocks on Tyrrell's Ashmans estate in the Hunter Valley, including Weinkeller and Short Flat. The estate's oldest vines date to 1892.
