Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss Au Dessus De La Loi Riesling 2020
A light golden Riesling with lifted aromas of citrus zest, peach, apricot and subtle dry herbs. The palate is dry, medium-bodied and finely textured, showing smooth fruit, salty minerality and a gentle noble bitterness. Fresh yet quietly muscular, it’s well-balanced with medium acidity and a lingering, pleasantly mineral finish. Delicious now, though it really finds its stride a few years after vintage.
Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss (Alsace, FRA)
Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss produces biodynamic wines in Alsace and in the Rhone Valley. The winery has been certified since 1989. Today, Kreydenweiss farms a little less than 30 acres of vineyards in Alsace, which includes portions of 3 Grand Cru vineyards: Kastelberg, Moenchberg, and Weibelsberg. Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc vines dominate the plantings, but Kreydenweiss has other varieties planted, such as Pinot Noir.
